Welcome to my world
....... of poems, etc. My name is Tim Richards, from Abertridwr, Wales, Cymru,
and
I
am a member
of the Red Poets Society and I write other
stuff (journalism, drama, short stories), as
well.
This is my contribution
to Welsh culture ......grin. If this is modern Welsh poetry, has the bardic
tradition died you may ask?
OK, so its not Dylan
Thomas and definitely not R. S. Thomas,
but if you like poems about traffic accidents,
sex, drugs,
capitalism, crime,
politics, satire,
insects, leasehold, etc. then this is the place
for you!
The poems on this
web-site are divided into different pages according to themes - an arbitrary
decision which just
made it easier to post them up and, hopefully, to read.
I am
not a very poetic poet so there’s not a lot of metaphors in here,
though there’s a
fair amount of alliteration, rhythm and rhyme. I
think that satire, anger, piss-takes and
a belief in social justice
are a good mix for political poetry, so, enjoy, or not..............
